Project Overview
GrowthEngine is a full-scale e-commerce platform designed for mid-market retailers. It combines a powerful storefront with analytics, inventory management, and marketing automation. We built the platform from scratch to handle high-traffic scenarios and complex product catalogs.
The Challenge
The client needed a platform that could handle 100K+ SKUs with real-time inventory across multiple warehouses. The existing solution couldn't scale during flash sales, causing crashes and lost revenue. Additionally, the marketing team needed tools to run campaigns without developer involvement.
Our Solution
We built a headless commerce architecture with Next.js frontend and a custom microservices backend. Key components: - Redis-backed caching for sub-second page loads - Event-driven inventory sync across warehouses - Visual campaign builder for non-technical users - A/B testing framework built into the platform - Multi-language and multi-currency support
Key Results
The platform handled 50K concurrent users during Black Friday with zero downtime. Revenue increased 180% year-over-year. Marketing team now launches campaigns 5x faster without developer bottleneck. Average page load dropped from 4.2s to 0.8s.
